For that delicious home-cooked taste, it has to start fresh. We plant seeds, harvest the bounty and turn the raw foods into the spices, sauces and spreads that transform your favorite meal into something unforgettable.
Chris “Wishbone” Walker knows good food. From before he could see over the counter in his mother’s kitchen, he watched her whip up southern classics like buttermilk biscuits and fried pork chops.
He worked in over 15 restaurants as chef, caterer, manager and owner, and always kept a well-curated garden of fresh herbs and produce.
Friends and family begged him to bottle his famous spices and spreads, so he started selling a few products at the local farmer’s market. It was hard to keep his products from flying off the shelf, and when all four flavors of pimento cheese sold out every week, Wishbone knew it was time to get serious.
Despite our rapid growth and expansion of our product line, Blue Moon products continue to carry that small batch, homegrown flavor. Everything is handcrafted in our commercial kitchen in downtown Spartanburg using the most natural, local ingredients available.
Our garden has grown a bit since the early days, but we still harvest much of our herbs, peppers and produce. All of our recipes are original, except for the buttermilk pie, which Wishbone stole from his daddy.
You can find Blue Moon products in farmers markets, specialty food and grocery stores and boutiques around the Carolinas, or order online nationwide. We also distribute to individual and regional restaurants from the upstate to Hilton Head.
We love to see our customers make Blue Moon their own, so we offer personalization on many products for corporate gifts and wedding favors.
